It may not seem like it at present, but in time you will look back how much confidence you have gained from pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Even if things don’t always go to plan and it turns into a learning experience. You said in your last YouTube video that it wouldn’t be logistically possible to make every chained up dog on the island a pen to live in. But as this community grows there may well be other solutions come along that help while educating people about their pets. You have created an amazing Thai team and long may it grow with the cause. I have total faith in your mission sterilizing so many dogs per month. God put you on this earth, rescued you from yourself so you could carry on His important mission of savings dogs. This is your special calling until your time on this earth is over. You are like Mother Theresa who gave every second of her life to help those who had no hope.
Looking at the big picture is good, it keeps everything in motion, but Niall, you have to stop & smell the roses of your success of changing each individual dog’s life every single day. I wish dogs could talk & tell you how grateful they are but they show it by getting the will to live & loving you back. As for the decision to bring on a team of hard working, loyal, dedicated Thai staff, this has exploded the amount of education, feeding, medicating & sterilizing dogs for hundreds of Thai families who love their dogs & the freedom the dogs need to prosper.

The ripple will in time be the wave. I think of it like a Mexican wave it just takes that one person to start it then the ripple grows until everyone (well most people) are on board.
You continue to build with a strong team around you. I hope as the team expands you can start to take a little more time for you to have some time to take care of your own health and wellbeing too. You see so much suffering, the trauma that comes with it is unimaginable.

My husband & I are NOT large donors, but we gifted small amounts to the ASPCA in 2024 and 2025. Then this year, for the Human Society of the USA, which now collaborates with Humane Society International. I love their magazine. However, we need to decide on only one. Any suggestions? We also receive info from our local animal shelters and refuges for animals, along with those throughout the USA and internationally. Should we donate here instead?
Before I retired, my 9-12-year-old Montessori students agreed to create our own Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots Club. This club was a great success for the students. I should write a story about their experiences!
I donated again after quite a while in honor of her inspiring and energized work at the age of 90! I hope I can get there, too!

I can’t imagine how hard it is to try to keep up with every dog that is suffering, whether on the street or not being cared for with love. But Niall and Happy Doggo is doing a tremendous job.
Yes, it is a lifetime vocation, and Happy Doggo is doing great at this.
It takes a long time to change the culture. In the U.S., people worked for decades to make it socially unacceptable to to drive while drunk. People still do it, of course! But the culture has changed so much. Many people will use a "designated driver" or a car service instead of driving home after a night out drinking. Who knows how many lives were saved?
We recently spend 6 months in a village in Goa, all the dogs had been done so there were no puppies. So neutering and spaying is the way forward but it is a big job. Stay strong and positive you are a star ⭐
