Hi Niall, I know you’re super swamped, but just wanted to repeat an idea I’d posted on one of your previous newsletters: To help raise funds for hospital, you could sell bricks/pavers that would be the walkway to the hospital, or the basis of a “memorial garden.” People could buy a brick for $50 or $100 and inscribe it with name of a dog they’ve loved and lost. “The Best Boys and Girls There Ever Were” Garden (or Entryway) … or, Garden of Angels.
Shelly, this an absolutely brilliant idea..I love it..maybe post the idea on the happy doggo account..someone responds to the comments. Perhaps they can relate to Niall.
Yes!! I managed this for the animal Shelter I was a Board member for. We poured concrete for a new walkway around the exercise yard and drew 400 1’ squares with string. Bc it was local at the time, each square was sold for $100 and people lined up that morning to write their pet’s names (or anything) in their square of drying cement. A lasting memory for all and $40,000 to the Shelter!
Bricks or flatter pieces of material for the name to be inscribed as sold would be best for Niall and team to manage, and we would all love to contribute for Tina and all the best girls and boys.
The bricks/pieces could be an ongoing fundraiser for the hospital walls, the walkways, exercise yard, etc. I would love to help in any way I can with admin. Cheers, Diana
Thanks everyone for the lovely responses to my idea. As suggested by someone, I’ve also sent an email to Happy Doggo. I don’t think I speak only for myself when I say that I would be BEYOND touched to even just have a brick with my beloved pup’s name be a tiny, tiny piece of Tina’s hospital ❤️❤️.
This is all so wonderful and exciting, Niall. You truly are such an inspiration and gift. I know you've said that's hard to hear, but it's your very humanness that makes you so meaningful to so many of us. Thank you!
Love reading your updates Niall can’t wait for the T shirts I so want one lol You are one of the worlds most kindest passionate man there w er was so glad I found your page it makes me happy and at times sad but love love love everything about your passion for your mission xxxxx
I just love your updates Niall, so positive and inspiring. Such great news to read about. I'm sure Mr Fox will be inundated with offers. Your merchandise will most definitely sell out like hot cakes. I am certainly in for the calendar. Thankyou Niall, much love to all of you ❤️ Vx
Such uplifting news Niall and a massive well done. I’m over the moon for Mr Fox and Derek - 2 bestest boys 🫶🏻🐶🐶. Hope I’m lucky enough to get a calendar and T-shirt🤞🤞 hope you have thousands as they will sell out fast! Big hugs from Northern Ireland🥰
Such incredible achievements. Such beautiful dogs. Such a special team of people helping on the ground. Such supportive donors. Such a very special man - Niall ❤️ just you ❤️ Thank you ❤️
Food! Shaq! Adoptions! Sooo exciting and it feels so good supporting these amazing outcomes! 💞💞
and yet, SPAY/NEUTER is the MOST EXCITING OF ALL! Bumping up my monthly donation a bit to thank you for your incredible accomplishments, Niall. Give sweet Derek a giant hug from Montana. One for you too. 💞💞
You dream big but you also follow through: your sterilisation plan will transform your island first but inspire many others to get similar schemes running elsewhere too. Tina's hospital will happen and do her memory proud, with work progressing under Mr Derek's watchful eye as he enjoys every second of his forever retirement home. Amazing.
