Niall hi - Are you familiar with the programs in place in Turkey, Istanbul specifically? Many neighborhoods have their own municipality-paid vet, which spays/neuters dogs and does general care, and there are machines that exchange recycled cans and bottles, for dog food dispensed directly.... Truly amazing work Niall! I love reading about your accomplishments and plans to help the street dogs. Sterilization is absolutely key. I have 2 rescue dogs that bring me more joy and love than anything else! It saddens me to think how different their lives could have been if they hadn’t been brought into rescue. Your big dreams about how to accomplish the things that can be done are amazing. Our potential is only limited by the size of our dreams. So keep dreaming! It will happen. I admire your dedication. Many countries have veterinary colleges but focus on livestock. If there was a way to start outreach in those colleges to help with street dogs/cats?That would really help. Countries in which rabies is a huge issue could logically see a benefit in sterilization and vaccination.
I love your positive updates and never miss a video, but there's a special place in my heart for Sybille and her special needs dogs. So many people would just leave them to their sad and painful fate, but she gives them love, dignity and a reason to live....her videos of the dogs loving life, full my heart with joy. Niall, I love the way you continue the feed the street dogs daily, identify dogs needing medical (& psychological) care, attending to the administrative duties associated with the Land as well as writing books, traveling to spread the word & keeping all of us informed of your progress! So many success stories & more in the horizon. Just bought the last copy of “Hope” at San Antonio Barnes & Noble. Love you for doing all of this!
Relieved to hear you are aware of how fast you’re taking on life Niall. As the inspiration for this immense project, it is critical that you stay rested and healthy. Getting a team to do all of the important work that we never see is key.
It's incredible to see how much is being done and how quickly you are ramping things up. Just a few months ago you shared news of 200+ sterilisations in a month and now there are 100 in a single day! That's amazing!
