The end of this week will mark 3 months since I started this mission. That time has been used as a rapid learning curve by being practical and doing everything including feeding, fostering, medical care, vet trips, sterilising, re-homing and even adopting (Jumbo). I’ve learnt a lot but the biggest insight is that you can’t do this alone.
Well, I could do it alone but I’d be maxed out at this current level. I could keeping feeding and sterilising dogs but it wouldn’t solve the bigger issue much. So I need to expand and get help. Thats what the next 3 months will be about. Building on the early traction and finding people, building structures and getting community help to kick this to the next level.
Thanks to kind donations from you guys I have been able to help dogs like little Minnie here who got a full vet visit and sterilised…
The Numbers
I really feel like I am starting to make a difference now even if the numbers are still comparatively small…
12 Dogs sterilised
60-65 Dogs fed every day
2 Dogs re-homed (with another one with a foster waiting for an agreed owner)
This is little Stella who was sterilised, given all her meds and then re-homed. My first proper success from start to finish…
A Visual Dog Tour…
Pete asked me to do a little interview and I think it captures the essence of the dogs really well. The certainly look a lot better than they do on my phone videos…
What’s Next?
Time to really think big and end the suffering of dogs. Here is a little of what that looks like right now…
Foundation Set Up. To be able to do most things I need a foundation. This process is off and running. This will allow me to do a lot more in Thailand on the ground beyond just myself.
A Building And People To Help. I obviously need a space for the dogs and more people to help catch, drive, care for and medicate the dogs if this is to scale up even more.
Branding. The foundation will need to have a brand identity for it that will come to be known all over the world.
Kids Youtube show. So many people tell me their kids love the dogs but aren’t allowed on Instagram or Twitter. So I want to develop a short form show that follows the dogs and shares their stories. It will be fun and educational.
Business / Revenue. I said at the start of this mission that I want to support this by generating income from business. Those businesses will be dog related and tied in with the overall mission.
There is a lot to get through there on top of actually looking after the dogs which is why I need to bring others in to help. The next 3 months will be exciting and challenging.
Time to get serious and take the next steps.
Niall
Well done Niall. Drive it on man.
Incredible work done so far Niall 👏
