Every Tuesday I’ll give a quick update on the dogs and the mission to get to 10,000 per month. I had started with 10 last week and am up to feeding 20 per day this week. I actually wrote a short thread here today about why the dogs end up in the jungle.
As I tell myself I am up to 20 Daily Active Users or 20 happy customers in business talk!
To feed more dogs all I had to do was to ditch the expensive food in the 7/11 and go wholesale.
Out with the fancy stuff, in with the big bag. It only costs $15 a day and it takes me about an hour to feed them all instead of 30 mins. I’ll have to think of smarter ways to scale it up from here on as I can’t just keep on doubling my time as that won’t help with the overall goal of getting to 10,000.
Word is very much out on the doggy grapevine though that there is a bald white headed Irish man driving around in the midday sun with a bag of the good stuff. They are coming out of everywhere and I could feed 100 tomorrow If I had the ability to scale up.
The 20 Dogs
They are all out waiting daily apart from one who is tricky to find. I’d love if you had any suggestions for names. Just leave a comment.
The Originals (4)
They live at the top hill up in the jungle. Mum, dad and the two adorable puppies. Because they are so remote that are always absolutely starving. Exceptionally wary of people but am slowly winning them over one day at a time. They are the ones who got me started.
The Quiet Couple (2)
A well mannered couple who live on the edge of the jungle. Inseparable from each other and always want hugs and cuddles after their dinner.
Big Eared Puppies (6)
I was originally feeding 3 of these identical beauties and then my friend Lana said there were 3 more. Sure enough this week all six starting showing up. Impossible to get a picture of them all at once. Major family squabbles every day about who gets which dinner!
Billy (1)
Lives pretty much in town beside a car wash all on his own. An absolute gentleman who has a bad leg from some sort of accident. His weight is Improving by the day. The only dog so far with an actual name!
Old Boy (1)
Very timid older gent who won’t let me get near him yet. Always grateful for a big meal.
The Angel (1)
I’m not supposed to have favourites but this lady is special. She is super thin and not in good shape at all. It’s very hard to find her daily and she was missing for 72 hours this week. When I do find her she loves to play and eats 3 meals in one go. She has been shunned by all the other dogs, has no pack and is the jungle alone. You can see just how happy she is here.
The aim is to get her big and strong.
The Family (5)
They weren’t on the dog run originally but the 2 young blond pups chased me one day and begged for the last of my food. They have since invited their whole family along and are now a firm fixture.
This is their dad who is a bit wonky, very thin and has been in a few fights. Lovely big dopey boy.
Whats Next?
I’ve only been at this for 9 consecutive days so I need to make it a habit now. Make sure I don’t let them down as all 20 rely on me. I enjoy every single second of it so that won’t be hard!
My next couple of weeks are going to be researching and hopefully activating the next stage…
Learning what I can do for them medically. I literally have no idea so will be researching and finding out costs etc.
Looking into setting up as a charity in Thailand (essential if am to scale, if I was to get people to help, accept donations etc)
Look into bulk ordering food so as I can maybe add a couple of more feeds in if I can get the costs down.
I find it hard to believe how supportive people have been. I guess people really just love dogs even if they are half way across the world. Lots of people have been asking how they can help. For now just follow along, maybe pass this email or social accounts on to some friends who love dogs. In the coming months it will grow into something much bigger but for now I’m happy just feeding my pack of 20 and sharing content to put a small smile on people’s faces. It’s better seeing a few dogs in your feed rather than Boris Johnson or the latest news about swab positivity results. The dogs put a smile on my face and fill my heart with joy so I hope that comes through in the content.
Actually…you can help. Pick some names for them! Leave them in the comments and I’ll match them up and name them accordingly!
Big love to everybody

Great Job and look forward to following your progress. It was lovely to take 5 minutes at the desk reading the update. We have 2 rescues called Doris and Lola so ill keep the name suggestions to myself.
Call the dopy dad Bubba. Reminds me of myself!
