Stay strong! You have so many people rooting for you and the dogggos! I can't have another dog here at home in Ireland (2 rescue sighthounds currently) but at least I can support you and your dogs in a small way. No matter the bad, every dog you come into contact with experiences kindness in a way they never did before.

Well done for sharing your truth about how you are feeling Niall, it’s good that you can come on here and get your feelings out. I’ve sent this to my family to read so they can set up a monthly donation, we all appreciate the love and hard work that you put into caring for all the dogs. Sending lots of hugs and positivity from Yorkshire x

Niall, I disagree with ONLY positive news. So sorry that you lose followers when you portray the bad & the ugly part of your job, this is the true reality of it all. Otherwise it’s just a nicey-nicey feel - good fairy tale. It rocks me to the core to see & hear the horrors that actually happen to these poor dogs & to you & your team, but it gives me that push, that drive I need to learn more, keep signing petitions, donating for the good cause you & so many other groups savings dogs, cats & wildlife are striving to help & change. No, Niall, you are good, honest, brave and transparent with us. We deserve the Good, the Bad, the Sad & the Ugly to keep us real so we can help with your mission. Those who are true followers, true friends and are dedicated to your mission need to hear, see & experience everything just like you and your faithful team do. Keep it real Niall, not fairy tale. We can & will handle it because we love you & the dogs.

Completely agree. I, for one, think it's very important to share the bad with the good. I don't want a squeaky-clean, sanitized version of Happy Doggo. I want to know what you guys experience so that I can share in the joys AND the sorrows. Thank you for keeping at it!

I agree as well. We need to see the bad as well as the good, so we can know exactly what you’re going through. Your real supporters will appreciate you even more if we see it all.

On another note, I’d like to thank the lovely Tina for always reminding you of what’s important. 🩷

Totally agree with you Kate! This is a very serious charity, not an Insta "selfie-good-looking" social place. Niall, you are real...and we want to see real, it doesn't matter how cruel the world is, we are here to support you!

I set up the monthly donation, it is not huge but I guess every penny counts...

Totally agree! I could not have said it any better. My heart aches at the horrific abuse some humans render on these beautiful and born-to-love dogs. However, the love and massive medical attention you give to these dogs comes back to you in how they finally show you their unconditional love and honest respect.

That also works for many of us too. Our love and respect for what you and your crew of angels accomplish gives us unmeasurable joy.

Thank you Niall et al for your unbridled caring for those who cannot speak!

Niall I am so glad you are now actively asking for donations. As you know your critical work cannot be performed truly effectively without the money to care for these dogs, and the education of the people who interact with them. I’m not sure how much government lobbying you can do with the resources you currently have, but has any work been done in this direction? I’m sure this type of work takes a certain expertise, resources and time, but I feel this is where true success lies - getting government to pass real animal safety laws. I worry about your mental health. It must be so difficult for you being in the trenches every single day. I know this is where your heart lies, but you see such heartache every day. Please, please, please take care of yourself first. This work doesn’t happen without you.

I had suggested approaching local embassies for support on lobbying government for this.

Everywhere a dog was poisoned there should be a sign β€žA dog was posioned here by a person.β€œ

In Thai, English and whatever else language.

They need to be shamed!

Look at all those eggs.

Did they crack them, put the poison on top and let the dog lick it?

Shame on them.

Everywhere an animal is murdered a funeral should be held. That 3.7 trillion because humans think they should die for their meals

You and your team are amazing. It’s heartbreaking that humans can be so cruel but Tina is with you all so please stay strong for her and the dogs please, I donate to HD monthly

I think it’s important to get local politicians involved as well on the side of animals.

Thank you for sharing honestly how the weeks events have impacted you and the whole team giving us a glimpse of what happens on the ground. As supporters around the world we are a long way from the day to day reality and can only use words and donations to help out but I hope that the donation day will support education and increased advocacy for dogs so that other dogs are saved from this suffering. Thank you 🧑🧑

No more bad news?!! I think while some people may find it hard to cope with, the bad news is what makes others, like me, follow and donate. Share your truth, Niall. Sending strength and love from Yorkshire. xx

I donate because of the horror: to end it, to help those affected by it and to educate. That's why I have a small monthly donation

So pleased your run allowed you to find your way to positive planning - so many dogs have benefited from your efforts and there are so many still that need you.

You have so many people across the world believing in and following your amazing journey, and supporting your cause in whatever way they are able.

You are a very special man with a very caring team - all of you doing your very best for the doggos.

Don't ever doubt the difference you are making.

It’s how you deal with the knocks, sad days or heartache that determines how you move forward. You could easily give up, bury your head under the blankets and never get out of bed again. Or you could turn to substances to alleviate the pain πŸ₯Ί But true to character, you use the knock backs as a motivator to spur you on. I have no doubt that whatever dreams you have in your head will become reality and not just some day! With your drive & determination, I have no doubt it will happen sooner rather than later!

I have been following you for years and I have always appreciated your honesty. You don’t sugarcoat the harsh reality of rescuing. If people unfollow you for that, then perhaps it’s because they find the cruelty too difficult to deal with. Maybe you could put an advisory before cruel or sensitive footage so at least people have a choice whether to watch or not, and then you’re much less likely to loose followers.

I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the future. Dream big Niall, we are with you all the way πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ§‘

I've just set up a monthly donation, it's easy enough to do - for non UK and non US supporters as well. I hope many more people will follow suit.

I wake up and go to sleep to the Instagram posts about all your efforts. They're the highlight of my day... And I'm certain I'm not the only one. Even as things seem dark on certain days, you should know your organisation's work brightens the world for so many of us.

Niall I thank you for sharing your real feelings. You’re human even though sometimes you seem super human. I think it’s very important we know the ups and the downs. It’s not realistic to think it’s all a bed of roses. Hearing the challenges makes me realize even more how important what you are doing is. I’m going to figure out what I can afford to commit to give monthly.

The work you do is critical and the set-backs will always come. But the progress you report is the work that is β€œnew”; each victory is durable. The bad news is perennial and heartbreaking. But the best and maybe the only way to thwart it, is the beautiful work you and your team are doing. Thank you for itβ€” thank you for this model that encourages all of us in the many frustrating settings where we work too.

Like everybody else, l am so pleased that you came out of this terrible week with such a positive attitude. I hope the fund raising went well, monthly donations make such a difference to projecting your revenues for the future. Very good to do this annually as well, people will revue their own situations and help out more if they can. Enjoying being on this journey Niall. Onwards and upwards πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ
